(Special Occupation)
H1 B visas are temporary professional visas for professional-level workers who are coming
to the US to work for a US employer in a “special occupation”
(1) Alien must possess at least the equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree.
(2) Job offer must require at least a Bachelor’s degree to perform the job duties.
Examples of specialty occupations are: Chemists, biologists, engineers, physicists, software
developers, system analysts, accountants, economists, teachers, and architects.
There are 65,000 numerical limitations for H1 B visas and additional 20,000 visas for those
with US advanced degrees. |
